Tintype Portraits

Michael Shindler makes portraits using a photographic technique invented in the 1850’s called the ‘collodion wet plate process‘, a technique that requires metal plates to print the photographs. Michael Shindler even opened a store in San Francisco where you can get your own tintype portrait made.
